Quick question for everyone. How many people modify saks? I can only find one person that modifies them.

Why would you want to modify a SAK? There are so many different models that you can pretty much pick and choose what tools you prefer.

Well, for one, if you want an Alox model with scissors then that's pretty much the only way to go. And some people just want to get the exact tools they want without anything they won't use and are willing to pay extra for that.

Syph here on BladeForums is the only one I know of, then again I haven't been over to Multitool.org recently...

You really can't though. A lot of tools are only available on certain knives and with a lot of people, thickness becomes a factor. Custom SAKs let you build your exact tool set from the ground up as well as colors, liner materials, pocket clip etc. Luckily ive never had the need for a custom sak as a pioneer does all I need on a daily basis and I can't justify the custom prices. They sure are nice though!

I believe there is a whole group out there disassembling and reassembling their own "Franken-SAKs." They don't appear to be here....someplace else.

I convex the edges on mine...does that count? :)
