Sal, I assume the Cat is going to get the BD1N upgrade at some point. Will it also get jimping?

My older 440C has jimping and I wondered if there will be a return of that on the new blade steel.

Thanks

Hi Doc,

We will continue the "Cat" and it will change over to BD1N, but there is still inventory and will take a while before the change is made. We will leave off the jimping in the future.

Is the lack of jimping a cost saving measure since this is a budget option, or is there another reason to leave it off?

Thank you, Sal.

Quality? The jimping on my Cat, top and botton, is really nice. In fact, the entire knife is really nice. I am extremely happy with it. Perhaps the manufacturer could not maintain that level of excellence.

One thing I really like is that when you are looking out for quality you are looking out for us, the buyers. I appreciate it.
