Sal,
I want to thank you for making this run happen. Thank you for giving us the calypso jr. I just received my grey calypso jr today, together with a EKI mini-commander. The calypso jr was much better than the mini-com even tho' the mini-com is twice the price.

I wonder why such a fantastic blade is not in the regular line-up. To me, it's much better than the delica.

BTW, I realise that a lot of us have blades that are off-center. Not a biggie, but I wonder why.

Who designed the calypso jr when it was first released? I would really like to give the guy/gal a big hand. It's all performance.

ps: spyderco is tops in my books...now if only I could get the ti lum tanto I sent to Mike repaired and returned to me by next week - that would really make my knife month!

This piece is really classy.
I like the contrast between the gray handle, and the fish scale shaped texture gives even better grip than the Native/Endura's texture.
Flat grind makes the knife very efficient.
My Native is seeing competition for EDC time in the 3" folder category.

I love the dark grey FRN - much nicer than black for those of us that like ABB.

Also - more proof that we need more models that have clips with a bead blast finish.

I think the problem with the off-center closed blade is related to the flexing of the plastic scale.
I noticed my blade was centered until I took off the clip & bent it slightly to make for a tighter fit & when I put the clip back on, the blade was off center. I took the clip off again & see that the blade is close to center.
I can also squeeze the handle & watch the blade move to center.
