The "Ancient Spydie" is a little (+/- 3.5" oal) old-looking, handmade, primitive-ish, bone-handled folder with a funky curved blade & a hump. The hump has a hole in it- although it may be a little small (for my hands anyway) for a one-hand opener. Looks a little like a Khalsa. I'd had it for a couple of years in the bottom of a box & it looked like a curio that might interest Sal. Sorry, I have no photo.

Samo, a little farther back and a bit lower and you would have included a full pic of both the large and medium size Lum fix blades, the ATR and the Szabo folder prototypes!! Ah well, too bad for those who weren' t at the show!

Just a matter of curiosity Rugger ~ Where'd you get the knife? Looks pretty interesting! Did you handle the protos as well? They are so COOL!!

Hello Samo-
The "Ancient Spydie" is something that I picked up at a yard sale or a flea market or something. It's one of the little incidental things that often rattles around in a drawer or at the bottom of a box for a few years. I really don't remember where it came from. Wish I knew - starting to bug me a little now. And yes indeed- the protos were pretty impressive- could have played at the Spyderco table all day (unless Bram wanted to use me as a demo all day long).
Regards,
Mike

Dude ~ I overheard a brief history about the little knife when you presented it to Sal. Quite an impressive tool I must say! Did you pick up anything at the show?
