Sal, a week ago I dropped you an email regardsing Knife Passarounds @ sglesser@spyderco.com, and I'm not sure if it arrived. I've been having some trouble with my computer (and especially Micro$oft Outlook) lately, and I'm not sure if it did even get sent. I'd sent it again if you didn't get it.
Unfortunately I am not (yet) able to send personal messages, else I would've done that instead of posting here.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely, Keno

I think that Sal is at the Spirit of Steel show this weekend so you might need to be patient in waiting for a reply.

Thanks for the info, Donovan. I have no problems with Patience, but lately I have gotten several emails to different persons returned or not even delivered without any obvious reason.

I might give Joyce a try though. Anyone have her email address ?

Thanks, Keno

Hi Richard. I'm "on the road". I don't remember your email, but I would have passed it on to Joyce.

Joyce would be a better source for info on the "passarounds".

Sal,

thanks alot for your fast answer. I'll drop Joyce a mail, just to make sure.

Regards and thanks again,

Keno

Hi Keno, yes, I did get your email. Regarding the German Knife Forum?

As my note to Joyce says; The success or failure of a passaround is founded on the efforts and persistence of someone like Dave. He's the hero of the passaround concept. Good idea and excellent follow through. Without the persistent follow through, the passaround will quickly pass.

Yes, that was the one I was talking about. I guess Joyce now has the same email two times. I had first thought it might be better to chat about this via email, but this way is ok as well.

You see, so far we didn't have any real passarounds in our forum. Not in the way they're here, and I'd like to change that. I think it has different good things about it, as well for Spyderco as for possible users.

People get a chance to handle knives they probably couldn't handle otherwise, not many knife stores here have a great selection and if so, mostly at a high price. Ordering via the internet is still the cheapest method, in my home town for instance a BM 630 is selling for 310€. That is about 100€ = 120$ above Internet retail price.

Anyway, it might be a good way to catch more attention as well as to introduce especially newbies to this world.

I see how it is working out here, and it sure is also appreciated alot by the forumites - I think so at least.

I would love to start something like that in Germany as well, and I would also be willing to put effort behind it, else I wouldn't have contacted you, right :D

I would really like to see this happen.

What do you generaly think about it ?

I am looking forward to hearing from you, and or Joyce.
