After getting my Delica4, I decided I liked the new platform so much I had to pick up another. Which?
The E4W, of course.
This has got to be THE ugliest knife I have EVER seen.
Which, of course, in Spyderco tradition, makes it one of the most functional knives in existence. This is especially true given its unbelievable price point.
The "4" platform changes were what convinced me to buy into these. Steel liners, screw build, adjustable pivot, bidirectional texturing, 4-way clip -- these are all the critical things that I required in an EDC. The cherry on the top is the wave and the ultra-low price.
Sal, you REALLY have a hit on your hands.
The only one thing I'd consider changing is thinning the final edge thickness and making a full flat ground version! The fat-edge low-sabre is durable for sure, but I miss the cutting power of my Ritter Grip.
Perhaps I'll have to try out a Manix 80 or wait for the new Caly3.
