Sal,
In the 2001 Dealer's Catalog the G10 Lum is available with a coated blade. I know Spyderco has tried several coatings before and has discontinued them because of disappointing performance and/or aesthetics. Can you give us some information about the new black coating please?

Hi John. We are making the model due to requests for it. The coating is tough, but it is still a coating and will eventually scratch.

Many wanted the black Lum tanto with a black blade. We'll see how it goes?
