Sal, is this atrocity going to change the direction of Spyderco?

For now on we will all be putting our knives into our baggage, and I dont mean our carry on baggage..... Other then that, there should be no problems with carring knives that fit your hand good.

Hi Flinx. Probably not too much. We've been adding smaller, sheeple friendly knives to the line fairly consistantly over the past several years. I think it is the trend anyway.

It is unforunate that the attack was done with knives. I'm sure this will inconvenience the knife aficianado as well as the casual knife user, but as Americans, we really need to take a view from above and do our part to help solve the potential problems.

Personally, I believe that the problem needs to be dealt with as a "person" problem, rather than a "weapon" problem. Either at the gate or on the plane.

Israeli Et Al airlines has never had a hijacking. They obviously have better security methods. They also have trained undercover agents on every flight.

We'll have to "hide & watch".

It is responsibility of every American to cover each others A$$es (regardless of race or religion). That is the best we can do.

My heart goes out to all those lost innocent souls that were just trying to be good people and do their jobs.

Hi Gary. For now, we might have to, although I don't think the CoPilot is going to make the 2002 line up. (you didn't hear that from me).

I think that there is a pretty fearful "backlash" going on right now, but I have confindence that reason will win out in time. I have been in contact with the FAA and will continue to see if I can assist them in some "Proper & intelligent" knife airline rules.

2.5"/plain... would be nice... the better portion of knives could be stowed, and we could still do minor tasks with a 2.5".
