Well, the 4th of July 2016 is almost upon us again this year. So I had a quick idea on a new knife for spyderco to make. Yes, I am a newly retired 20 year Veteran.......

The "American Blade"

PM2..................Dark Blue "Burple" on one side, Red Carbon fiber on other side with white spacers........Blue Titanium hardware, and shiny S110V steel and shiny clip!

You know you want to actually see that knife be made....... right here in the USA!

P.S. since it's my idea I get two........... one to save/cherish; the other to rock out with everyday! :)

Why not simply use red, white, and blue carbon fiber or G10 on both sides?
How about blue and red weave carbon fiber with white spacers?
Or, red G10 with an American Flag embossed on the scales?

I like that idea. But to further it I say red white and blue cf with a titanium lockside. I'm not poo icky with the blade steel. But I would like to see a Cru Wear Para 2

I'm totally on board, but would rather see it with S35vn or some other steel than S110V.

But that is a totally badass idea for a knife.
 
I have also envisioned a new Spyderco Knife design myself which l would like To Share with you guys. I imagine a knife named the " Spyderco Survivor" . It will have a 4 inch bowie style flat ground Blade with a set of Saw Teeth on the spine ( like those Iconic Rambo Knives made by Jimmy Lile) . It will have a blood Groove. It will be a Lock back design with Titanium scales. The steel should be highly corrosion resistant but with good edge retention , toughness and easy to sharpen . I like 440C myself but then again , l have old tastes.
I imagined this knife because people are constantly having the "Plain edge VS Serrated edge " debate. Since many people ( including myself) only carry one knife on their person at most times , l think it would be sensible to have a knife with one plain edge and saw teeth on the spine . That offers you versatility. Combo edged blades ( in my opinion ) neither provide the comfortable length to use the plain edged side of the blade with precision , nor do they allow the serrations to be used effectively. Please shall your opinions on this knife design :) It's been on my mind for a while , now.
 
So the saw teeth will be exposed when the knife is closed? My hand and my pocket hurt just thinking about that.

I would love to see the full size Dyad modified to have a saw instead of a serrated blade. Also, the saw should share the pivot with the blade and the saw should have no Spydiehole so the knife is still comfortable in the hand when the blade is deployed.

But man :/ Think about it. If cheap Chinese Folders can have Saw teeth on their spine , l am sure Spyderco can too :D

Even though the US flag has navy blue, IMO, royal blue looks better when combined with red, and white.:D

Either way............. I think Spyderco "SHOULD" make a model like this; and not just a sprint run if you catch my drift?!

Heck I keep throwing you all these great ideas.... you may have to hire me?! :P
