First off let me say I love my Military's. Working for a newspaper I sometimes find myself in the wrong area at the wrong time and a Military or an MT SOCOM is the only knife I'll carry!
Since I already have an ATS-34 plain, and CPM plain and serrated I was looking forward to the idea of the 'Sprint Run" Forum Knife, but frankly the 'pearl' inlay just does not do it for me. It seems somewhat like hand rubbed walnut furniture an a CAR-15 or gold inlaid engraving on an HK/USP.
My suggestion for the next 'Sprint Run' would be a Military in khaki or olive drab or dark red (maroon?) G-10 with a 60/40 plain/serrated blade (I would prefer 60% plain and 40% serrated). This could all be done in Golden with, I hope no special tooling. They could be numbered I suppose and I'm sure everyone will want all sorts of add on's, but I think this knife as described would be a real winner. To make it absolutely perfect I suppose a color matched River City sheath could be included
