Hi Sal,

You wrote in a post several months ago that "I have replaced my own gray ceramic stones with diamonds. I go from the diamonds to the white ceramic stones when sharpening."

So, if I purchase the diamond stones, I will not have to use the slow grey stones anymore correct?

The reason I ask is that one of my grey stones broke again and I did not want to buy replacements if they are not needed.

Thanks

No you really dont need them. I go from diamond stone corners right to the corners of the white stones. Thats where I stop. But you can then go on to the flats of the white stones. Just dont press hard on the diamond stones. Be gentle. They work just as good. But in case you want the full set for some fine tuning without going to the diamonds for some reason, the grey stones are pretty darn cheap. Check some of the online retailers and order at the same time your buying something else.
