This was one of my first posts as a forum member and I haven't seen this asked in a while. (Just a fun question)

So, Sal what knives have you been carrying lately?

Tnx in advance and I wanted to say I always enjoy your honest, informative and patient responses here on the forum...
 
While you are waiting for Sal to give you an answer, here is what I carry as MY "EDCs":

Spyderco stainless fully serrated Police (new-style).
Spyderco stainless plain-edge Delica (new-style).
SOG Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier.
SOG CrossCut.
 
Today I wore a Carbon Fiber Delica. Yesterday a Carbon Fiber Military prototype. The day before a D'Allara sample.

I usually switch daily. More often than not I have a prototype of some type. In the last week, I've caried a "solar", Small tusk, Persian folder (in house names for new designs) and a Lil temperance proto. I've also had a SS Jester with me daily.

SOOOO when might we see a production CF Military?Maybe in a mat finish.;) :) :D :cool: :eek:
 
:eek: CARBON FIBER MILITARY !!!

I need one now! The Military is my favorite Spydie, maybe favorite knife, period. It has never left my EDC rotation.

The Carbon Fiber Military is a 5 year old piece. JJ (our prototpe maker) fitted a new S30V blade to it.

Do you think there would be enough interest in a carbon fiber Military to entertain the thought? Probably should be another thread? This thread is supposed to be on what YOU carry, not a CF Military.

why do you carry a Lil'Temperance proto? My guess is that a proto is a modification of the present Lil'T.
Trying to guess further - my fantasy - how about a Lil'T with BG-42 blade and titanium handle with integral compression lock ( a la Salsa)?

What the other forumites think about the idea?

Any chance of a peek at that SS Jester???

Seems like that would be a pefect keyring knife. Is that scheduled to go into production yet or is it another prototype?

The SS Jester is production piece. Available in plain or serrated.

I guess the thread IS about what I carry. Sorry.

I carry whatever needs actual use. Sometimes is a new proto, sometimes its a model we want to update. I hardly ever carry a production piece unless I'm travelling and legality might be an issue. Then it is usually a Delica FRN or a Calypso jr FRN. Sometimes it's a "Pride" with the flag of the country I'm in.

I usually have a Jester attached to a Photon in my jacket pocket.

Thanks. I will have to look for one of the SS Jesters. I have a micarta Jester with a white photon attached to it in my pocket right now.

Sal, I think there would definitely be a market for the CF Mili. I know I would buy one in a heartbeat.
 
Anybody here ever seen Sal draw & open his Military?

I hope to.I am going to blade in a couple weeks.It will be nice to buy a S30V Military from the man himself.I get more excited by the day.The only thing I could compare meeting Sal to would be to meeting John Browning.Sal has infuanced the knife world as much as Browning infulanced the gun world.
