Sal, I heard you can draw a knife faster than anyone around. I can only assume this is true since you designed the spydie-hole and you've been doing such great things with knives for so long. Do you accomplish this speedy feat by carrying tip-up or tip-down?

I got the chance to see Sal do this at the NYC show. Oh my! There have been threads about this particular talent of his in the past. Sal always says, let me get it right, "Snobigdeal." Well maybe not to him but it was a big deal to this spydernut. It was a Military (serrated.) Fast doesn't begin to convey the experience. It's like saying Mozart could write a tune. The Mil was in his pocket, then open at his eye level, even as he gave a running commentary on how it's done. Automatic knife? What the heck for?

Hey have to ask. Why do you choose a word that means urinate as your username?

ummm.... maybe you're thinking of a different word...

ma·tric·u·late (m-trky-lt)
n. (-lt, -lt)
One who is admitted as a student to a college or university

Hi Matriculate. I normally do the "Trick draw" with a tip down Military. The knife has a large hole for access, easy action and the right weight balance for the way I do it.

Tacticalfolders. The double Civilian is a Phil Gibbs thing. I spoke with him at the show a little (not enough, he's a great guy). Tried to convince him to make double civies again.

Sal, could you describe the "trick draw", or point me to a link that describes it? Always looking for new cool ways to open my Spydies.
