Sal,
Your company is now offering a "sprint run" of CF Civilians in plain or serrated blades. I was just curious, what's your preference for the Civilian for it's intended purpose?

Plain?!? Hojos info is not yet confirmed. I would gladly have one in plain. I'd like to hear from Spyderco first.

I would prefer plain.

Serrations make more sense for the designated purpose though.

Not speaking for Sal, but my guestimate will be that he prefers serrated.

Sal has stated numerous times that the Civilian works best with serrations, and that's what I'd go for myself.

For its intended purpose, I prefer teeth.

We are making plain edge CF Civvies, mostly for collectors. If the demand is great, then, we'll make plain edges for production as well (with G10).

OK, for it's intended purpose, definitely serrated, but for a gardening knife the plain edge is it.

my civi has teeth, which get brushed once in a while.

Gotta go with the plainedged dude. It just looks so much better. Can't wait for these new ones to come in.

I'm trying to get a plain one, just because I already have teeth on my g10 civillian and matriarch.

This is one knife that i'm not going to carry, just look at it and go "damn".

There are stock numbers from Spyderco for all 4 of the carbon fiber variants:
plain-edge right-hand C12CFP
plain-edge left-hand C12LCFP
serrated right-hand C12CFS
serrated left-hand C12LCFS

your dealer can get the numbers, and if not, I'll get them for you tomorrow.
