If by "design", you are refering to the "pattern", then with the exception of the Catcherman, (penned by Sumio Sakai), I have penned the in house designs. However, I do get a geat deal of input from a variety of sources, especially in the ergonomics area. I think that Christopher (Spyderholic) said it best when he said that I design "in the dark", with function being primary.
I also get a great deal of input from the R & D group, the machinists and from the various "nuts" in the crew, some of whom know a geat deal about particular fields. We all pretty much work in harmony as we develop a concept, especically mechanical concepts. I have the final word on design and materials. But even in that area, I work with the GM, sales & Marketing mgr, etc.
The is a new design currently being penned by someone else in the group because of his exertise in that particular type of design. In that situation, I am more of a consultant sharing thoughts.
Hope that helps.
