Sal have you noticed all the new interest in G10 Natives? How about a new 500 run.I would love to see a dark desert tan G10 Native or a O.D. G10 Native.Take a look in clothing stores, those colors are hot right now.PLLLEEAAASSSSSSE

More importantly, how about a Maxi-Native with G10? Like that stretched tip one... oooh.

I just got a regular 440V FRN one; nice carry, but a little small.

:)

Well, since Spyderco is currently in the process of producing a special run of VG-10 Forum Natives (for Spyderco.com), it seems unlikely at the present time in terms of production and distribution capacity.

What's wrong with the FRN S30V Natives? They're wonderful and cut really well and look great. How could you want G-10 when you already have that spyderweb pattern.

There's nothing wrong with the FRN Natives - but the G-10 Natives a GREAT!

Personally, I don't like the feel of FRN in the hand. It slips.

Also, the blade and lock assembly flexes a little when cutting through thicker material, but that may be a lockback issue.

Albeit, I have the 440V version. Perhaps something was changed in the S30V one?

Nope, that vertical play is still there in the S30V model (for some, not all). To solve slippage, it'd be easier to switch from the spyderweb pattern to the volcano pattern seen on the Delica. I like FRN for being light in the pocket, hand, and only lightly denting the wallet.

Strange, I have a CPM 440V Native and I don't have the problem with the now infamous vertical play. It is possible that I have received a wrong one... ;)

I want a G-10 native also! make it and we will come! I would also like to see it just slightly larger than the standard but g-10 will be good enough, for now.

How 'bout we wait and see what happens with the forum knives due in April/May?

I remember when they brought out the BladeForums Blue Native. At $100, they had one Hell of a time selling them. I know that I was shocked at the price until it was explained to me just what I was getting, then I couldn't wait for it I was so eager. I still love that knife and was so pleased with mine that I bought two of the FRN CPM440V versions for friends, neither of which had any vertical play and both of which have seen GREAT usage.
