Don't get me wrong. Spyderco serrations are the best in the business.
But I can't figure out why everyone places them at the REAR of the blade.
Victorinox puts their ...um.... wavy things at the front. Which is still wrong.
Why aren't the serrations in the MIDDLE of the blade? Especially on a longer blade, say over 3".
Cutting rope or boxes, you stick the blade pretty far in but still want some "sawing" space.
Slitting tape or scribing or cutting hobby stuff, you use the tip.
Whittling, you use the part close to the handle. (well sometimes the middle, but closer to handle would still be a good place)
So.........serrations in the MIDDLE would make more sense. To me. Maybe. Unless someone explains why not.
...............and..................
A longer Native would be GREAT.
