So I bumped a for sale ad a few days after posting with a price drop. My post pops up top for a minute, then goes 6 pages back to where it was. I'm bumping with a price drop....what gives? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So a bump, is a bump.. regardless if you're changing info in the ad..I reckon. Though I see same day price drops up top all the time...

After 14 days you start a new ad. It can be the same or changed. When you post bump or something else in an old thread, it will show as the latest post in the forum until someone post a newer one
If someone starts a new thread in the exchange before the 14 days, it is aviolation of the rules and if noticed or reported by a moderator , it will be removed.
You can change the title or contents of the thread anytime, but that will not move it to the front of the line.

10-4, that is my understanding also. However, I posted in my for sale ad a bump with price reduction, it showed up at top for about 2 minutes and then went back to its original place. Has happened twice now in a row

As was stated earlier, you cannot bump a thread to the top. However, a new post in a given thread will be seen by folks who look for "new posts" since their last visit. (And it will drop down the page as time and posts accrue.)

However, anyone searching threads within the Exchange or via the search function, will find the listing among the threads started on / at the same date and time.

After two weeks, best policy is to lock the old thread and start a new one if the item hasn't sold. (You can copy and paste material from the original thread if desired.)
