Sale Coming Soon!

We'll be camping...... at a location with zero internet. Guess I'll have to make up an excuse to take a ride that morning.

Finished one up today.

Pocket Cleaver
7" overall
3 1/8" blade
1/8" O1 steel
1 1/2" tall blade
Right side chisel ground
Black canvas micarta
Aluminum pins

I like it.

I like how the ricasso comes down a bit to act as a slight guard, so your finger isn't pressing into a sharp point at the back of the edge.
Nice touch.

From reading other posts it seems like nobody has extra funds to spend on knives at this time, so I may not have this sale.

John, have you considered selling on the custom KnifeMaker's exchange? i know you said you wanted more folks to see your knives. i know i used to go in there when i was looking for a new knife (before i found my preferred makers). that may help you with "brand awareness".

Oh man, that would be a shame but I can understand. I would be interested in knowing what you were planning - I have been meaning to get back on the list - to determine my next JK order.

It is definitely tough. I'veven already purchased three knives for myself this year, you're about to start one for me, and i'm on down the list a ways. I have 2-3 more I would like to order at some point in the future, and I might could be tempted at a sale. But I will definitely have to sell some things in order to pay for any more knives than what I already have spoken for. My knife budget for the year is all dried up without any outside cashflow.

I dont have the funds, but I still check that section. I like window shopping for knives...

Let's say this was a restaurant. If you had one of the best small spots in town, but you were located on a side street, you wouldn't do the business of a lesser quality restaurant that is on a highly trafficked road or a main strip.

I also support the idea of posting in the Custom Makers section of the exchange. Even if you only pick up two or three sales, that will also serve for you to get your name out there.

Specifically state that you welcome comments and input on your knives in the sales thread. This way current owners can chime in about your quality and brand without catching a warning or infraction.
