So I meet this guy to buy a used Swamp Rat.. and I get a creepy vibe right off the get go.. he had 80s short shorts on and reeked of booze, his trailer had like 50 cats in it an by the looks of the girls that showed up he likes his women like he likes his whiskey (12 years old and mixed up in coke)
any-hoo .. I turned down the purchase but this feeling came over me and I felt bad leaving it in that place.. like I was leaving a poor blade in a broken home.. anyone ever get that feeling?

Which Swamp Rat model was it?

Can't say I've ever been in that situation. Sounds like quite the experience. And lol to the whiskey joke. Haven't heard that one before.

lol.. it was a RMD but I felt like it was probably stolen so I passed.. an THT, im pretty sure on of them was a big rat.. ya I should have snapped a shot :)

I can relate to that, not with a knife though. Many moons ago I went with my friend to look/buy a 1971 Trans Am. As soon as I met the seller, I started looking for exits lol. Well I remember the car was a wreck but I just couldn't leave it there. So as I was negotiating $$$ a quick VIN check was done even though he had all the papers. But my buddy kept saying the whole time " can we just leave already " lol
Anyhow the car came home, got restored and sold off. But I do remember that creepy feeling all to well lol

Here I invite you to my home to look at a knife and this is how you repay me?

JK.. LOL, sounds like the makings for a Bloodhound Gang song.

seriously ? wow what a fun time, take me with you next time :)

Oh man.. That's the way it is around where I live. I see so many great muscle cars rusting to pieces in someone's front lawn, and they refuse to do anything to preserve them. It really tugs on the thee ol' heartstrings.

There's a blue and black 1969-70 Boss 302 that's just degrading into scrap metal. That's a crime in my mind, haha.

I hear you , that really drives me nuts too. This one was owned by some wack nut, he just wanted $$$ But it was stored in an old abandoned warehouse that was fenced in. My friend just rescued a 70 GTO from a slow death rotting away in a backyard. Car was a nightmare to get out and onto trailer. She's pretty far gone, but he is gonna save it. That Boss would bring a tear to my for sure :-(

Back in high school me and my mate asked to buy this blokes old smashed up 70's Mustang sitting under a tarp in his driveway. We were gonna go half half and fix it up together. When we knocked on the door he got very defensive and told us to leave. It's still sitting there today, 6 years later...kills me.

My folks have a 2-door hard top Buick Skylark. I think I've only ever seen like two of them. Every time someone tries to buy it, my mother does that thing like on the movie the Notebook where even if they want to pay her more than she's asking she calls them crazy and shoo's them away lol. It's going to be a pile of rust someday I'm afraid.
