sale vs trade ?

Can I have a for sale thread open and start a trade as well on both forums with the same knife?

No, but you can say that you knife is for sale or trade (FSOT) within your sales thread. When you open 2 threads with the sAme item, you are opening up yourself to multiple problems and it's against the rules.
