Picked one of these up today, marked Sales Sample, also has the early Hoods Woods logo on it.

Does the Sales Sample make it something I should set back or use it as it was meant to be used?

From what I remember there were only ten made. At least I believe that's what Ron Hood's wife said to me one time.

Do you happen to know if your notch is coated? It seems to be the only difference I noticed when I looked at mine. The area around the H logo doesn't look good though, sort of like it damaged the finish some when they put in on there.

Nice piece in any case. Since I have users I think I will set it back. I have a Hood signed box I need to find also.....
