505 Knight. I had never seen a tiny 505 Salesman Sample folder before this one so I thought that some of you might enjoy a look at one. The wood side pins are slightly proud and the edges of the acrylic are opaque and un-polished. There are no cracks at the pins and I can find no flaws. The knife works perfectly as a knife. I really enjoy seeing the mechanism of the blade, lockbar and spring. Thank you for looking.

Thank you. My pleasure.

110dave purchased a model 110 Salesman Sample from an employee at the BCCI reunion last Summer and he was kind enough to show it to me. He was excited by his good fortune and I was excited to see it. It was perfect on all fronts. What a terrific find for him. WTG Dave.

It was beyond my imagination that there were demonstrators for the little folders. I was genuinely surprised to find one for the slim line series.

I got luck desert dave. Thank you.

My scan of this forum found no other small Salesman Samples whether 1/2 and 1/2 (one side wood and one side clear acrylic) or both sides clear acrylic. None. I didn't think that they existed before I saw this one. I wonder if demonstrators were made for many different models? As far as I can recall I've only seen the 110 demonstrators and no other models that reveal the guts of the folding/locking mechanism.

Oregon, way to go... I have to come over to home and trade you for that one...

It would look good sitting next to my original 110 Salesman one that I have... :)

But mine is clear on both sides... ;)

You now need a new show case for all those sweet new Buck Knives that you have...

ITE

I heard there was a 500 and a 501... But I haven't seen it yet...

Just like the classic Brass 513... or something like that... :)

I would really enjoy seeing your Salesman Sample. Yes I would. I bet that I am not alone in that. Betcha.

I will keep my eyes peeled back for others in the 500 series. Yup I will. Who collects the 500 series anyway? I am not in the know.

Here's my first picture I took of it... I got it from a ex-Buck-employee that worked for

Buck for almost 27 years...

:)

Outstanding ITE! It looks to be in pristine condition. Brilliant demonstrator and thank you kindly for the photo. Wow those are so cool.

Nice find oregon! Love your photographs

Thank you for your kind words sit. You know, others might know as well and the rest guess that I have you in mind (hoping that you will find this stuff interesting) fiddling with cutlery and pics. I have received so much more than I've given right here on this very forum. I stand in your shadow, your shoulders holding the forum suspended as a monument to human achievement in the face of adversity around every corner. You know who you are and it is a privilege to be here.

A few more photos, this time in the light of a bright and shiny new day, of the Salesman Sample 505 1/2 and 1/2 for your amusement:

Thank you for looking. :)

Thanks for the extra looksee oregon :) I always marvel at the salesman samples and Leroy specials that the great folks shared pics of around these parts. I never could find one, so one rainy Sunday....

I made my own... :)

Your words are very kind, you who brings so much enthusiasm, and creative sharing, of your love for all things Buck. Much have you brought to this fine table  May you live a thousand years...

Sit, that is outstanding workmanship and a beautiful result. The 112 has no clothes, no secrets and nothing to hide. Was it much trouble? Did the burden of having to look at the guts thru the clear scales forever cause you to overly polish each piece?

Haha, it sits next to my computer, I gaze upon the genius of the design, the inner workings so closely intertwined, just a glimps of light between the parts as they work together in harmony. I have always been fascinated with BUCK lock back knives, to see one work with its inner secrets revealed makes me giddy! I open my mail every day with the shown knife, built to look at, built to use ;)

I wish I had a buckmaster peroid. I've never seen a mini, could u tell me bout it?

Buck use to sell them along time go... My was made by Wilson... This is the kind they sold...

There are other ones out there made in other countries and by other knife and tool companies...

I just wish they would have made a mini Sheath like the original 184 sheath... That would

have really been sweet... This little sucker is sharper than... Well you know... It's made the same

way as the original 184 was made... It all come apart... ITE ... :)
