Went out on my friends Boat on Lake Michigan out of Holland. The old timers are saying this years Salmon fishing is one for the record books. almost everyone is limiting out by mid morning. We left at 5:30 am and by 12 noon we had caught 11 king salmon one lake trout and one steel head...

Pictured are myself and my Andrew and Aaron two of my sons.

you can see how quickly Andrew has healed...he has a small scar on his face but aside from that he was very pumped about reeling in the big ones...

Aaron ( my 12 year old ) caught the big one on the top left end of the rack...it just about pulled him overboard!!! he needed some Dad assistance...:D

and no photochopping my pics you bastids or Ill never post another picture again...serious..

Looks like great times, Ren. Glad to see your son back in prime shape.

If you get the chance, post pics of one of the dinners made with those gorgeous salmon. Can't get 'em fresh like that here in Virginia!

my first meal with these babies was fresh salmon marinated in my own recipie of lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar and wortchestire sauce...with a touch of rosemary...then on the grill served with sweet corn and wild rice pilaf...yummy!!!

the kids fell on it like crazed grizzly cubs who have never had a meal...:)

...and they aren't the only ones who would!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Mouth-watering good! :D

Every once in awhile, business takes me to northwest Washington State...and I take EVERY opportunity to get myself around some wild salmon.

Aaah, memories.

WOW!!! Glad to see Andrew recovering so well! Great fish...

Is that a Lamprey scar on the top right fish? Haven't seen a fish with that for years.

Ren,
Totally Cool with your young men sons!

If I knew how to "photo chop", I would try just to be ornary (smile).....

Neat trip! Never underestimate the fine memories you will have when you get to be as an "old f#rt", oops, fellow, as I am!

Never understimate the value of a good grill when cooking that salmon.....you could definitely be talking "delectable"....and might even spell it right, unlike I probably did....
