Luck struck twice for me lately in finding both a large and then a small River of Fire Sebenza.
I was photographing the "new to me" small Sebenza and noticed that the River seems to flow upstream, do you all see this too?

What I consider upstream on the small:

Are you freaking kidding me???!!!!!
Listen up everyone, I think we need to ban Lisa so we may have a chance of owning some stellar blades. Who agrees?

Gorgeous! That is some CRAZY damascus. Drool-worthy knives, for certain. It seems very un-CRK-like for the damascus to be reversed like that, you'd think they'd be consistent with the direction, but who's gonna argue with either of those blades.

Thanks all and BBQ I didn't even buy 'em here on BForums so no banning required :p

Here they are in the same frame instead of separate photos:

Maybe not, Lisa, but if we ban you then we take away your reason to live. You wouldn't be able to show off your great finds.

I am completely speechless! How about bottling up some of that luck mojo you've got going and put it on the open market .... or better yet, just send it my way! I am elated just looking at your pics, can't even begin to imagine how happy your are. Congrats with a capital C!!

Brilliant idea d.r.h. I should bottle up some "Lucky-Luck Lager" sell it, and get funds for more CRKs :D

Congrats Lisa, those are amazing!!! I like that they went with a gold thumbstub to match the inlays. Then again, I guess they are pretty good at knowing what looks good:p

The River of Fire damascus is by far the best damascus I've ever seen on a production knife:thumbup: I don't know much about it, and had never even seen it until I saw it here a while back.

BTW- the only reason I said, "on a production knife", is because of Cliff Parker:p

LOL! +1

In all seriousness, another great find Lisa! A fellow BF member apparently just missed it on the 'bay'; you're just too quick.

Are you freaking kidding me???!!!!!

Any day now and I know you'll score a Mnandi ROF for sure, Condratulations on two Exceptional Sebenza's.

Thanks all, I think it was up for grabs on the bay for almost 3 and a half hours before I saw it....I was surprised it was still there.

difference indeed, I prefer the "upstream" one, but both are awesome
it's my fav damascus...

you have some nice pieces there Lisa!
