There's alot of threads saying it's all bs. I'm not going to test it. I respect sal's personal experience.
I respect Sal's experience and opinions....but that same experience and opinion causes him to manufacture some boneheaded knives(If you want to know what I think, start a thread on these idiotic monstrosities.)"
Some spyderco knives have been duds. Some have been absolute homeruns. ZT and Benchmade are right down the middle. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit the moon or keep to the mediocre?
Both have merits. Most producers are scared to do anything that might offend and in doing so, offend. Other producers are more willing to upset the norm and in doing so, raise the bar and gain fans.
What say you? My stance is that zero tolerance has zero tolerance for anything but vanilla. Hell, my stance is that most makers produce what sells rather than what works. I'd much rather have what works than simple BS that sells. Others are different than me and would rather have a fruity knife that hits the FAAABULOUUUS checkmarks than a real knife that hits the DAMMMN RIGGGHT checkmarks.
What say you?
And yeah, you know how those words were meant to sound.
