Salsa as an EDC?

I'm waiting for my Salsa to arrive (probably a week or two, dealer still hasn't got them in) and i'd like to hear some opinions on how it performs as an EDC. Looks like a real winner, still haven't decided whether to go with the Ti or Al version. I would appreciate any comments. :)

I've been carrying the Ti Salsa for a few weeks now and I love it. The lock is the best I have come across and the cutting ability of the flat ground blade is astounding.

The only thing about having such a stout blade is things like coring an apple is impossible to do neatly.

But it eats boxes, and whittles wood like it was born to do it.

I also much prefer the plain looks of the Ti, as it appears more serious than the versions with the Pepper. If the Aluminium versions had the option of no pepper then I'd buy one in each colour.

Get the Ti, it's worth it.

I carry my Ti-Salsa since I came back from IWA Trade Show two weeks ago. It’s born to be EDC! Flat ground blade is awesome cuter, the handle is very comfortable.

Seeing them all together at SPYDERCO booth (please look here) I have considered that Ti-Salsa looks nobler and more solidly but “peppered” Alu-Salsas in three different colors look very appealing and provide light, funny appearance. Also, they are lighter (not the last thing for EDC ) and cost more attractively.

There is really hard choice between them. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some true SPYDERCO fans earlier or later would like to collect them all ;)

My choice of Ti one was told mostly by interest for Mono-Compression Lock used there.

M@thew,
Another vote for the Ti. I have been carrying it daily for 2 weeks now. I love the feel of the Ti scales, and the design of the lock. Plus the blade (to me) looks smaller in the pictures. I didn't expect it to be as large as it is.
On my salsa the clip was very tight at first, but loosened up after wearing with jeans.
Overall I've been satisfied so far.

M@thew,
Hope you will share your impressions here when it will arrive ;)
Differently this would mean that you use our advice and comments for free :D :D

Sergiusz Mitin,
I don't think i could resist sharing my impressions of the knife if i wanted to! :) i expect to hear from my dealer today and all being well should have one next monday. Both are tempting, i've decided to go with the Ti version if possible, and if not, i'll go with the Al version and put the Ti on my 'to buy' list. I'm looking forward to trying a new lock from Spyderco, i haven't had an opportunity to handle any of the compression lock models and i believe the Ti Salsa is the only available Spyderco with the integral compression lock. :D
