Salsa or Spydercard?

Not your everyday exciting stuff, but I can get both of these at a fairly decent price. Seeing that both are discontinued, it's a choice between teh two. Both have 50/50 blades, NIB, Salsa has green handle. Spydercard is AUS-6 and Salsa is AUS-8, but that difference is reflected in the price.

Which one should I take?

The two are so dramatically different that it really depends upon what you want to use them for.

The Salsa will make a good pocket-carry EDC. The SpyderCard is basically an "emergency" blade for wallet carry.

If you want an EDC the Salsa is a better choice. If you want a backup blade which is kept out-of-sight then go with the SpyderCard.

After reading another thread here on the Salsa 2 I think I'm leaning towards the Salsa. Thanks for the input guys :)
 
I have both. Salsa all the way. The Spydercard is really too heavy and thick to be kept in the wallet and it's shape really doesn't make for convenient pocket carry.
 
The choice was made for me. The dealer no longer has the Spydercard, so it's the Salsa. I was actually leaning over that way like a fern in a tornado, so I'm quite thrilled about it :D

Going to pick it up this afternoon after work. My wife is getting it for me for our first wedding anniversary. This idea started out as a Cricket or Dragonfly, but it grew from there. I always know what gift I'm getting cause I always want a knife, but she is always surprised.
 
I just gave a Salsa a few minutes ago to one of my professors, a geologist. He loves it! :)

Stopped at the dealer after work and even managed to bargain him down by 10% before my wife bought the Salsa. But after she paid I had to let go of the knife. Have to wait 2 weeks til the anniverasry, which is ok cause that gives me something to look forward to. Just glad we got it as it was the last one.

As part of her anniversary gift I got her a CS Spike. Before anyone says anything bad, please note that it is one of the knives she really likes in my collection. She only likes the CS Spike and the CRKT Stiff Kiss, so i thought what the heck, lets get her one of her own.

Not yet buddy. But somewhere down the road... :)

Thanks for the Dodo though - i just love that knife!!!
