I just got one yesterday from the local hardware store and it's a great little knife. What attracted me to this knife was the compression lock which I really like. I am also a very big proponent of the Big/little knife - the L'il Temperance being my first.

I wanted to get a Spyderco that incorporated all of the latest design innovations: Big/little design, cobra hood, reversible wire clip, compression lock. This little knife is loaded with features.

There is no blade play, action is smooth, detent is solid, lock is bomb proof, and the blade is as sharp as can be. Although i was bit turned off by the "Salsa" logo, I like it now becasue it serves to make the knife cute ie., innocuous. I don't have enough non- tactical folders so this is a very nice change - excellent EDC.

Kublai,
I've been carrying my Ti Salsa for a year now (WOW it doesn't feel that long). I also like it's many features. I don't have the logo on mine. It's held up very well. I need to touch it up on the 204 soon. Especially before the BBQ this weekend.

Been carrying my alum tan ce salsa since early december... either front or back right. love it

I have to say that the Salsa is one of my favorite knives. Since the Navigator and Co-pilot have been discontinued the Salsa has become my low profile knife. I especially like the way it feels in my hand and the grind of the blade. Great job on this one........

I like my blue Salsa just fine. The AUS8 is surprisingly sharp, and the lock holds up well. The anodizing doesn't hold up for long if you keep it in your change pocket, but I was expecting that. It's a great little knife that won't raise much eyebrows.
