Help

Im on my 3rd spyderco in 3 days........I want the Salt 1 I just dont know whether to get plain edge or serrated.

How hard are the serrations to sharpen?

well I have both. Prefer PE for daily carry. However if I was going to be on a boat or in a situation were I needed my knife I would take the SE. Think I would cut rope. seatbelt ect. easier.

If you have a Sharpmaker any se is easy to sharpen....for me at least.

Just use the corners of the brown and fine stones. Watch Sals video that

comes with the Sharpmaker...it gives tips on sharpening se knives and a Lot

of other sharpening techniques. Great Video.

After I sharpend a Tasman salt Se yesterday I discoverd some dings on the sharpmaker rods. Don´t know if the dings where there before or not.
I have watched the vid 10 times so I know how to sharpen on the sharpmaker.

Any theory please

Could have you pressed to hard on the knife causing the dings on the rods?

If you've ever let the rods fall on top of each other or tumble up against each other, then that could explain it. They're fairly fragile.

I have both also, PE for land and SE for the kayak. If you are not going to be near water cutting rope, go with the PE.
