I noticed the clip design has changed for the Salt series over the years.... are the current clips still made of titanium?

I believe the answer is yes, I'll check with a magnet today and let you know for sure (Ti isn't magnetic).
I know they used to be Ti. There are stainless steels that are almost as rust resistant as H1 that could be used, we just don't talk about them on here since they're not blade steels. 316L is one that comes to mind, it's frequently used for watch cases for example.
