Salt Water Custom

Hello all. My brother is an avid sea kyaker who lives in Seattle and spends a great deal of time on the water. We got to talking knives and he is keenly interested in a corrrosion resistent utility/rescue fixed blade for vest or decktop mounting - Talonite, Stellite, ??? Has this wheel already been invented, and if so, by whom? And if not, who might be the person to talk to? Thanks much.

I have one of David Boye's old "Basics" and it makes a great little camp knife for the little chores. And not a speck of rust, even when I stored it in the sheath for several years w/o protectant.
