Greetings everyone, I'm new-ish to the forum... Been lurking around for a while, following Kershaw/ZT's new releases (0777,0561,0550,etc.). But, now I have a bit of a problem I thought you guys might have some input on...

I recently purchased a Salvo, and proceeded to attempt to adjust the pivot tightness. However, I noticed that the non-screw side of the pivot was just spinning in the handle. Unlike my other Kershaws, it seems like the pivot on the Salvo is supposed to be press-fit, rather than having a hex head on the non-screw side. Is this correct? Or, is there something that is supposed to be holding it? Thanks for your help.

EDIT:
Hey, just wanted to throw an update on here without bumping the thread to the top... Thanks knivesandguns and kneedeep for your posts. That was exactly the info I was looking for. I was able to get it re-loctited and put back together. It's working great now. Love the slim profile and the scalloped serrations.

Loctite is holding it.

You can fix this by heating it up with a hairdryer, dropping the blade and pivot in hot water for a little bit, or laying the blade on the towel while unscrewing the pivot. That'll loosen up the loctite :)

Once you get the loctite loosened, you may need to keep the back half of the pivot from spinning. You can do this by pressing the back side of the pivot against something grippy, like the back of a neoprene mousepad, or a latex glove. Alternatively, you can just apply a little sideways pressure against the blade to bind the pivot while unscrewing it.
