Salvo = Barrage?

I've seen both and they look identical to me. Are they? I've even seen them listed as the same model number, 2445. Anyone have either of them? What are your thoughts?

The Salvo was to be originally named the Barrage, but because the name was already used by another company (Spyderco or Benchmade, can't remember), they couldn't use it.

Yep! A few barrages out there, but they changed it rather quickly to the salvo.

OK, thanks. So how can you tell if you have a Barrage or a Salvo other than the packaging. I imagine that the blade will just have the model number like other Kershaws.
