Salyan blades are finished!

I'll have to check the records (ha) but those of you who ordered the big Salyan khukuris may be pleased to learn that the blades are finished. The kamis could not find horn big enough to handle the blade so waited for instructions before moving forward. I told them to use wood if they could not find the horn so that's how they are coming in. I look for them to be here before the end of the month.

If you recall this was almost the 800 pound Salyan when the 16ths got dropped from the thickness dimension of 7/16.

It struck me as really funny the way the kamis reacted to that order compared to how they reacted to the Cobalt AK-bowie. In that case they said "why do you want that?", with the large Salyan, they just say "you do know its going to be about 800 lbs, right?".

That's what they said, Cliff. But at least they checked before they started forging the blades -- thankfully!
