Siru is more than a slicer. It's a fighter for real. I would prefer a Chainpure though.

I'm glad to hear that, I got my first HI Sirupati Khukuri about a week ago and as soon as I slid it from the sheath and felt it in my hands I felt like it was a weapon. I knew it could chop wood and do all the rest but it just felt like something made for battle more than just a tool.

My Salyan is the 1st H.I and it will be almost impossible for me to part with it.

Jay meant that a Salyan was his first HI, not that he has the first one made. A UB memorial salyan was my first purchase also. I now own 3 12" salyans and an 18" one.

Ah that makes sense. I wouldn't have been surprised if Jay managed to find the first one somehow though. He is crafty

The first Salyan is owned by most of us- the spirit of U.B goes with it.
Mr. Martino has the first one and it got us all hooked. I drool whenever i see the pic of Karda's 18" Salyan!
