Hi everyone, this knife be longs to my Son and Daughter... I wanted to share it with you all... It's a new year and we need something new to start off the New Year... We got it in a knife collection from a Buck ex-employee... It's a Beautiful Knife don't know the Model number... But it is number 000... I think it is a Prototype... But what do I know... I only ever see 110's and 124's with Sam Colt on the blades... I'm sure there could be others... Anyway I just wanted to share it with everyone... I been trying to buy it back from them for some time now... Maybe someday, I hope...

Thanks,
ITE

Wow, that's a beauty and sure looks like something special. Armand, there's got to be some kind of "guilt trip" you could lay on them. Like "remember all the things I did for you" or "how good a Dad I am"! LOL,keep on trying.

PD, I'm really trying hard to get it from them... I'm glad you like it... I think I told you about this one... There are some nice knives out there still, for all us to find...

Thanks,

I know what you mean. I just had an AG-110 in Stag just "find" me, and not on Ebay either for a change. Should have it soon, and when it and the custom shop stag shows up, I'll take a family picture showing all my Buck stags.

PD, that's so cool that your getting a stag AG-110... ... We can't wait to see the family picture... E-mail me and tell me how you got it.... Now I need to find me one... :D ...

Armand,
Its a model 293 "something". Thats about all I know right now. We used that same pattern for a 10 knife "V-Twin series" for Harley Davidson.
I can say that usually when you see a limited edition serialised 000, it means that particular knife was meant for the company collection. (Later they started engraving one knife from each run "Chuck Buck's sample" instead.)

I checked the old computer records though and could not find anything on this knife. This leads me to believe that it might be a sample for a project that never went forward. The engraving was only meant to show the prospective customer what the serialization would look like and where on the knife it would go.
I know one guy I need to track down and ask. He may shed some more light on this. I'll let you know what he says....stay tuned. :)

What an exceptionally rare and unusual knife, thankyou for sharing it, its probably worth quite a few dollars, Thanks Tim

Joe, thanks for all the information about the knife... I'll be waiting to hear more about it... Take care...

Thanks again,
Armand (ITE)

I talked to the guy and we came up with the same answer. Must be a sample of a project that never went forward. Thats a great find!

The chances are you have the only one! Not to many 'samples' were made and fewer yet made it to 09....Sorta like my 532 with the 1992 banner..Nice to have a rare one!

MAN!! Colt collectors would flip out if you put that an the bay! one of a kind....mabe 600.00 to 800.00 on a good day....You could buy A LOT of 422's dude...
