This slim line fighter is 14" overall with a narrow 7/8" wide blade .
The blade is 440C with a frame handle construction. The handles are Sambar Stag with hidden pin construction.
PLease let me know what you think.
Thanks
Steve

Hmmmm, we'll both edges are sharp. I forgot to mention that. I don't think it qualifies as a Bowie, certainly not a hunter. What would you classify it as. Doesn't a dagger need to be symmetrical. Although I can say with complete confidence that it is a knife.
Thanks
Steve

I like it, particularly the stag and that long sweeping clip.
To me, the narrow blade gives it the perception of being a much longer knife.
Almost like a short hunting sword. As there's no universally recognized definition for a
Fighter or Bowie (for that matter), it's pretty much up to individual as far as classification.

I feel a different type guard would give it more a Fighter look.

Yes Kevin -- the piece looks like the blade is more the length of the whole knife from the image and I agree that the guard for a fighter is better with it being double. Filet knife looks like a good name and without the double grind it would be a wonderful carving knife just in time for the Turkey in the next 10 days for Xmas and New Years. Looks nicely done however. What are the dimensions of the blade and the handle SV?

It is a good looking knife Steve the grind is very cool I would call it a tooth pick long and narrow with lots of uses .

Very nice work. It's unique and well done and I like that about it a lot.

I agree with Kevin's post mostly.

I'll say this: I sure wouldn't want to be in a wrasslin' match with someone who was holding that. ;) :)

Thanks guys for the comments. I always appreciate the feedback. Next time I do one of these I will definitely use a double guard. The blade is 9" long and the handle to the front of the guard is 5 inches.
Thanks Again
Steve

I was actually thinking about making a knife pretty similar to this. Long and narrow, but wickedly sharp. Specifically as a fighting knife.

It's not really my style knife, but it's well done and great to see some new ideas.

Good stuff

In a fighter I appreciate a double guard. A lug would really top it off in my opinion.

Lookin good. A taller profile would have been killer, But I still like it. Great work
