Hi, The new owner of this knife couldn't decide between wood and stag for the scales so I gave him both. Here's the sambar stag version. Just out of curiosity do other makers offer more than one set of scales on a screw together knife. Thanks, Dave

Beautiful! I love the fileworked accent between the scales and bolsters.

Offering alternative scales is something I haven't seen before, but I like the idea. You could wear stag on those every day outings, or replace them with some classy wood or pearl for those special occasions. :)

Speaking only for myself.....HELL NO! I consider it lucky to get the first set to turn out right :D
What you just did is going the extra mile, I hope the customer realizes it.

Very nice knife by the way, great style and you put a lot of detail into it :)

I like the knife and love the stag, I personally couldn't imagine swapping the stag out for wood...any wood. But, that's just me. ;)

I'm actually most impressed by the fileworked spacer. That's the first time I've seen that done, and you did an EXCEPTIONAL job of it. Very nice effect.... I feel a trend starting here, and I hope you get credit for it! :)

I've seen scale "packages" a couple of times, but that's pretty rare. Most often a buyer sends a knife back for different scales and winds up with a spare. Obviously, if they are epoxied, that's not an option...

I can see offering more than one set of scales with this type of knife but certainly not on the higher end knives that some of you guys make.

Steve, I can't take credit for the file worked stacked spacers. I've always admired them on fixed blades so I thought I would try it on one of my folders. Another maker by the name of Dennis Greenbaum (sp ? sorry) did something similar but his was a carved piece of art attached to the bolster.

Thanks, Dave
