Gentlemen:

I've been making knives for five years now, so I decided I ought to carry one of my own. I am a big fan of good Sambar Stag and semi-custom 1911s in 45acp, so I made a matching set of grips out of seven year old stag that doesn't come around often. The knife is a down sized Loveless style hunter, 3/16" CPM-154, 7 1/2" OAL, 3 1/2" hollow ground blade, mirror finish, tapered tang, black liners, spine thumb serrations. The handgun is a semi-custom Dan Wesson CCO, .45acp, Commander slide, Officer frame.

Take care,

TK

Wow that's a sweet pair. Did you dye that stag at all or is that all natural coloring?

Hi Greg:

It's natural coloration.

Wow, thats a nice pair. You surely don't see premium stag this wide anymore. Great job on both

Spectacular set, TK, I'm sure you'll have a lot of pride and joy using them. Some of the finest matched stag I've seen.

The grips on the 1911 are awesome! Deep and gnarly! Very nice.

What an extra special pair, TK !

I agree with Bruce about the width of the stag on the Wesson.
Would have liked to have seen the size of the stag those came from.
Again, gorgeous pair and thanks for showing.

Doug
