Sambar stag skinner

Finished this one last night. The blade is 4" and was forged from my favorite leaf spring. Wrought iron half guard and butt cap with a sambar stag handle. Its just under 9".

That is one sweet looking knife!

The proportions are perfect. Very nice piece of stag on the handle. I think most makers use stag that is either not shaped right or too big.

The blade shape is perfect for that style of knife.

You really nailed it with that one!



P.S. Did I mention that I really like that knife? Is it for sale?

Hmmmm....OK, so there are two threads on this knife! I thought my first reply got knocked off somehow!
 
I also like this knife:thumbup:. The ring on the end of the pommel is a good idea...haven't seen that before. Good looking stag, I agree with ClintB about it's shape. Preston
 
That's a terrific little knife Ray, someone is going to be real happy with that one.
