Same knife for one year.

I would ask you to use it on fish and game...if its not really the only knife you use, its just not that much of a test.

I have always thought the USMC ka-Bar to be one of the finest feeling knives in my hand, looking forward to your report.

Don't take this as a 'bash' against KaBar, but that thing is going to SUCK for fish. A large, stiff, saber ground blade is the exact opposite of everything an ideal fish knife would be.

Filleting a Blue Gill or Crappie would be a nightmare. Get used to roasting them bone in, because it's pretty much your only option.

I hope it holds up as good as mine did. I used my exclusively in the Marine Corps. 88-92 It survived several deployments...everything from sub zero weather to the desert. I cut open endless MRE's, comm wire, pallet bands, busted ice in ammo cans, pryed open artillery powder canisters, and even strapped a kevlar vest to a tree and stabbed the vest to see it if would go through....it did. The blade did chip from repeated abuse however I was still able to sharpen it and use it over and over. The knife is in my safe now and may end up in a shadow box some day. It's a great knife. I love mine.
