Same racoons on a Lakota and a Buck knife

Found the picture of this Lakota knife at the big beach. But the picture looks familar to me.
Yes, the picture of the racoons is the same you find on 525 Buck knives.
Who borrowed from whom? Doesn't buck has the exclusive image copyrights
at the pictures they use for the knives?

I'd be willing to bet the copyright for the images belongs to the designer/creator of the image (if they're wise $$$ ), and neither Buck nor Lakota own them. It's not uncommon for images to be 'licensed' by the artist/designer, to different companies, to be used on specific products, or for a specific time frame. Happens a lot in commercial advertising, with photographic images especially.
