A week ago or so I was visited by the Swedish knifecollector and friend Roger Tängemo who wanted to see some of my Paris knives and just talk knives in general. He have ordered a pretty big knife from me that I never have time to finish and I think he takes every opportunity he can find to remind me of that
Anyway, I did make a knife I was planing to bring to paris but overall the knife was pretty simple and I felt it did not really match my current standards. Too much white mammoth surfaces for my taste to be honest. I showed it to Roger and said I wanted someone to make some Sami engraving on it but I did not know anyone who does not have his hands full and is good enough (I can´t do it myself).
Roger was very interested in the knife and took a picture of it. Two days later I got an E-mail from a guy named Rickard Perman who told me he could engrave my knife. I actually knew who Rickard was because he is hanging out on the Swedish Knife associations forums, but it never crossed my mind asking him.
Two days later he was at my shop, picked up the knife and now he is done with it. I was really surprised over the result and that´s why I post it here, before the sheath is done or I have time to take a good picture of it
Rickard is 31 and lives in the same town as I (a nice coincidence). He is not very well known... yet at least, and I´m sure I can keep him bussy with more knives in the future.
Enjoy the picture. I will post a better when the sheath is done.
