I did use tools to complete this and epoxy as well, so its not a truly great piece. Perhaps a future one using pitch and other means.

I like this idea. Wonder if you can make a topo map case that way also??? Good job!

along with some jute and charcloth would look pretty awesome as a traditional scandinavian firekit. I'd be interested to see all your scandi stuff in one big kit.

Making antler handle firesteels is really basic stuff to be honest, I have made MANY hahaha. Its just the little carving that would be the challenge, really though its a simple little stick deer;)
