i was at my favorite knife retaling establishment the other day, window shopping, when i came across a CRKT peck."ill take it" i said to the nice lady behind the counter."oh wait" says I."could i,if its not too much trouble, please see the Sampsons KISS?"
"sure" replied the nice lady
"you can put this one back" said i,indicating the peck."i believe i would like to purchase this particualr knife,do you accept visa"
"we sure do" the nice lady said.

so i bought it.i like it.nothing spectacular about it,but therese something there...just gets me.very cool.opens smooth,got a good edge.cheap (i like cheap).

what do you fine people have to say about this here knife?

The one reason I don't want the KISS's is that when it comes time to sharpen, I would have a hard time sharpening only one side. If you sharpen the other side, you compromise the "seal" on the handle, and risk getting cut.

I've carried the regular KISS and the Sampson. My main reservation is the framelock. If you are cutting with your thumb on the back/spine of the knife, twisting of your hand can open the lock. I usually cut with my thumb on the blade side of the frame, just behind the pivot point. I use my index finger to reinforce the lock with upward pressure.

Otherwise, a cool little knife. I gave a regular KISS to my brother-in-law and he's carried through airport security in 13 countries with no problem. He uses it as a money clip and simply tosses it into the key/coin tray.
