This is another piece I had in Reno. It's moving on to a very good home, so thought I would post a few pics before I send it out.

It is one of my Bushi model integraframes with mild steel handle and forged W-2 clay heat treated blade. The samurai is carved from 22k gold, copper and pure silver. There are 14 inlays that make up the little dude. The dragon is carved from copper with gold claws, and is emerging from a silver cloud.

The folklore around dragons in Japanese culture is not the same as Western cultures. Dragons aren't always a bad thing, and here the idea is simply a chance meeting with both of them "at the ready" but not engaged.

This piece spawned a few more ideas, so there will be at least a couple of more along the line of this one.

Hope you all enjoy !!

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Not sure if it's me but the blade looks of a different color on one side than on the other.

Bailey - Your work is always beautiful, evocative and captivating. This piece is especially nice. Glad it's going to a 'good home.' The fact that you would mention it demonstrates the fact that you put a lot of heart and soul into what you do. It shows, brutha!
