San Diego, California - local laws?

I have been reading up on the laws (CA 653k, CA code 12020 etc.) regarding knife carry in California and I think I am in the clear with my Spyderco PPT. If I carry it concealed.

Anyone out there with a different view?

It would be nice if someone could add their 5 cents...

I will be going to San Diego in a few weeks and I just want to make sure.

You don't have to carry the PPT concealed unless you're in Los Angeles. But other than that, should be fine. San Diego doesn't have anything specific about knives except no throwing knives in parks.

I've never had a problem down here, but I normally deep carry. Pocket clips are unusual, but unless you're going into a school or the ballpark you should be OK. San Diego city doesn't have any additional local restrictions beyond what the state prohibits.

i've been in SD for a few years, and never had a problem. I know certain counties have a big no-no with knife carry, i believe ventura, napa, and maybe 3 others. But SD you're good to go.

What part of SD are you going to be staying in?
