San Mai and mokume necker

I just finished this all metallic knife

San Mai damascus (1010/1070 and a 52100 core)
2 1/2" cutting edge, 6 1/4" overall length.
Handle slabs and lanyard ball in mokume (1010, 1085 and copper)
Cable decorated pins.

Wow man. Would it work to drill holes to either side of the mokume, and then parawrap it? Or am I just too much of a philistine?
