San Mai and Walnut

This is my first try at San Mai. It is wrought iron with a 1084 core, wrought iron guard and stabilized walnut burl for the handle.

It is 10 3/8" overall with a 5 1/8" blade and 5 1/4" handle/guard. The blade is 3/16" thick at the ricasso and 1 1/2" from spine to cutting edge.

It's a nice looking knife ... beautiful wood for the handle and a nice sheath with it.
